Residency Programme
Mexico City

Mexico City is a true megalopolis. The contemporary art scene is huge and thriving. The LA PARED Residency Accommodation is in the San Miguel Chapultepec neighborhood (colonia), close to the beautiful Bosque de Chapultepec park that boasts eight important museums, including the Rufino Tamayo Museum, the Modern Art Museum and the National Anthropology Museum. The colonia is home to the nations's oldest and best contemporary art galleries, these include Galería Arte Mexicano, kurimanzutto, Parque Galería, Galería RGR, Galería Enrique Guerrero y Patrica Conde Galería.
You will need only a short taxi ride from the Benito Juarez International airport, or a short metro journey. You will be based only one block from the Juanacatlan station on Linea 1 - the most central and most useful of the underground train lines.

Studios are available within walking distance, or a 10-minute bus or taxi ride. Bike- and scooter-sharing services are readily available. The city is very large but fairly easy to get around. Full details and help with all transport systems will be given. Residents are supplied with a Mexican network SIM card to use with their smartphone and provide mobile Internet access. Maps and backup systems for all local travel and geographical necessities and eventualities will be provided.
